The film's plot

The plot of my film is to follow the life of historian Dr Jason Foster in the months prior to the Guardian Historian awards. However, Dr Foster is haunted by demons of jealousy and greed with the chance of winning his first ever Guardian Historian Award coming up. These demons of jealousy and greed, when mixed with his ever growing paranoia, twist Dr Foster's mind convince him into taken out the competition and creating enemies in the process. This is because, Dr Foster believes that he must murder his competition to win the award and the cash prise. He murders the competition through the use of Chloroform  as this won't leave a mark as long as he takes the correct precautions. .e.g plastic gloves.

I have taken the inspiration for my plot by comparing the film Bronson and the story of Jack the Ripper to create a psychological drama type film that will grip the audience and allow the main character to kind of take himself out of the film and tell the story all by himself

Music for my trailer

For the music for my trailer I particularly took inspiration from the trailer for the Tom Hardy film "Bronson". The film "Bronson" is a British psychological drama, that documents the life of British Criminal Charles Bronson, who the British press once referred to as the "most violent prisoner in Britain".

The reason that I have taken inspiration from this particular film is that during the film the character of "Charles Bronson" becomes disassociated from the rest of the rest of the film and tells the story all by himself. This is down to the marvelous acting ability of Tom Hardy, however this is also done through the trailer with the added help of the music in the trailer. This is because, the start of the trailer the music is all serious to describe the tragedy of his life, however as the trailer goes on to highlight Bronson's hyped persona the music is more upbeat to represent a better period of his life despite his continued incarceration.

This is where I have taken inspiration for my trailer as I have chosen a selection of instrumentals that I'm going to try in my film to highlight the tragedy and the battle that my character goes through much like that of Charles Bronson in the fictionalised biographical film documenting his life.

Here is the instrumentals that I'm considering to document the tragedy of my character's life:

Sparrow - Sad Piano Music

Don't Cry for me Argentina (Madonna)

Inception Soundtrack - Time by Hans Zimmer

The Piano

Queen - Who Wants to live forever instrumental

While the music that I am considering for the part documenting my character's battle is an instrumental of Radioactive by Imagine Dragons

Final music choice

Above is the music that I have chosen for my trailer entitled Evey Reborn by Dario Marianell
from the film V for Vendetta. I've chosen this particular peace of music because of the dramatic build up through it, as the film begins quiet but ends up dramatic and I feel that it can only enhance the level of drama in my film trailer.

However, I also chose this piece of music due to it's orchestrated feel, because, I have also loved music from the orchestra and operas due to how dramatic it is. This is because, I believe the music tells it's own story and in this particular piece of music I think that it tells a story of murder and betrayal, but also a story of disturbance and desperation. The feel of this piece of music is something that I want to capture in my trailer to build the tension and to help tell the story.
